Growing Chillis, Peppers and Aubergines: Day #20 - Healthy seedlings & surprisingly fast germination
The seedlings are looking very happy in their propagator home under the new led lights. Over the last 3-4 days the first set of true leaves started appearing on most of the King of the North, Jalapeno's and Cayenne. You can also see the true leaves starting on the aubergines, on the left of this photo. Interestingly the aubergines germinated first but the peppers have now outgrown them.

There's space in the propagator for a few more plugs, maybe 5, but I have a lot more seeds germinating. It's soon going to be time to pot-up some of these seedlings.

I didn't check the germinating seeds for 2 days and today found a few that grew really fast. These 2 photos show seeds sown 4 days ago and show the variation in gemination and speed of growth. So the last 5 spaces in the propagator will be filled today after I transplant the germinated seeds (I'm transplanting 3-4 seeds every few days at the moment as they germinate).

I've now sown pepper & chilli seeds in 4 batches and have some from each batch translated but also some from each batch still waiting to germinate. I'll summarise the germination rates in 2 weeks time, but for now the status is:
